Tony Ferguson was the subject of the Tyrone Herald's Big Interview, talking about the research behind Andy Symington: Tyrone's Most Wanted Man — the seven years of archive work, the family testimony, and the long arc of a story that took most of a decade to assemble.

The interview covered how a grandson comes to spend years reconstructing a grandfather's life; what the records of the period do and do not preserve; and why a man who served in three armies across three conflicts ended up almost entirely absent from the written history of his own county.

It also touched on the reception the book has had in Tyrone itself — readers writing in with photographs, corrections and family stories of their own, several of which have fed directly into the later volumes.
